Dean’s address

I see the Faculty of information studies as an entrance point into a network that will connect ambitious professors, diligent students and business organisations which will employ the graduates of the faculty and take active part in creating the study processes at the faculty. The faculty is an answer to a very clear demand for graduates who will have good knowledge of information and communication technology as well as social and organisational frameworks, where this technology has to be incorporated. The graduates of the study programmes Information science in the contemporary society will connect departments of information services with other departments in an organisation so that the organisation will be able to reach its goals faster with a help of information technology. At the faculty we are aware of the responsibility towards students and external partners, therefore we strive for a high quality of our pedagogic and research work. We are also aware of the fact that only with our own quality we will be able to raise the quality of all the other links of our network and in this way we will do the most for a quality higher educational system in Dolenjska and Bela Krajina.
