Vision of FIS

At the Faculty of information studies we will try hard to become:

• a leading centre of knowledge in the field of computer technology and information science in South-eastern Slovenia and
• a faculty the graduates of which will be among the most wanted graduates from the faculties in the field of computer technology and information science in this part of Europe.

Mission of FIS

Accordingly to the vision of the Faculty of information studies we will ensure that we will have an important role in the development on the academic and professional level in all the sciences linked to computer engineering and information science.

We will ensure a constant flow of knowledge among the experts, students and organisations (users). Consequently, we will raise the reputation of our graduates and help economic and non-economic organisations to improve their business management with the use of new knowledge and skills from the field of computer engineering and information science.

With our own quality we will raise the quality of the entire higher educational system in the region of Dolenjska and Bela Krajina and as a result we will contribute to the development of a very good university in the area.
