Erika Džajić Uršič je osvojila računalniško znanje na srednji šoli TŠC v Novi Gorici ter nadaljevala študij v smeri inženirstva. Zaključila je magisterij iz Gospodarskega Inženiringa na Univerzi v Novi Gorici. Njena področja raziskovanja obsegajo raziskovanje na področju programskega modeliranja in simulacij, analiz manjših podatkov z uporabo HPC in raziskav trga z souporabo kvalitativne metodologije. Znanje in veščine je gradila na projektih Interreg Podonavje, Jean Monnet projektih, raznih Erasmus projektih in “Capacity Building” projektih in na učinkoviti in ustrezni povezavi z raziskovalnimi temami na infrastrukturnem projektu. Pri tem je pomembna omemba, da ima članica tudi izkušnje pri podobnih spletnih aplikacijah za projektno vodenje.

Leta 2014 se je začela ukvarjati s študijami in raziskavami s področja industrijske ekologije, ekonomije, industrijske simbioze in industrijsko simbiotskih omrežij ter računalniške sociologije. Kot asistentka je aktivna na FIŠ Novo mesto, FAM in FUDŠ pri različnih metodoloških predmetih kot so kvalitativne metode, analize podatkov in mešane metode mešanja. Poleg drugih dejavnosti, v katerih deluje kot npr.: razvoj skupnega promocijskega programa za povečanje prepoznavnost projektov in storitev Interreg, organiziranje, usklajevanje in vodenje skupnih sestankov z zainteresiranimi stranmi, sodelovanje v teh državah, izvajanje regijskih delavnic, sodelovanje pri načrtovanju dokumentov,.. Za sabo ima računalniško in inženirsko izobrazbo pridobljene izkušnje s področja ekonomije, računovodstva, prodaje in nabave, akademskega in raziskovalnega področja ter pogajalske, računalniške in analitične veščine in znanja uporabniške izkušnje in oblikovanja (UXD).

Erika D. Uršič, Assistant Professor, finished her Ph.D. in Sociology at SASS and has a Master in Economic Engineering. Erika D. Uršič, MA of economic engineer has successfully completed high school at a Technical School in Nova Gorica, Slovenia (2004) in a field of computer science and successfully graduated from at business-technical faculty in Nova Gorica, Slovenia in field Management and economics of production and technological systems. In 2011 received a Bachelor at the same University of Nova Gorica Polytechnic Faculty of Business, in Economic engineering. The last two-year of postgraduate study deal with social protection for the elderly and intergenerational cooperation, in the municipality of Šempeter-Vrtojba; contribute to the work of the daily activities of the Centre for the elderly, published material in the context of individual research work at UNG: “Analysis of the situation of older people and the need for institutional care investment” and concluded with a master’s degree under the supervision of Prof. Dr.Bogomil Bergant on the subject of economic investment and the construction of a home for retirees.   

In 2014 has begun to researching and studying the field of Industrial Economy, Industrial Symbiosis and Industrial Symbiosis Network and Computational sociology. Since then, she leads courses as an assistant at the FIŠ, FAM and SASS in a variety of research methods, with a particular importance on qualitative research, data analysis and mix methods. In addition to other activities she act in: the development of a joint promotion program to increase the visibility of the projects and services in the project area, organizing, coordinating, leading meetings of so-called focus groups with stakeholders, participation in the implementation of regional workshops, assistance with media presentations, participation in document planning ect. She has computer and engineering education behind her and gained experience in the economics, accounting, sales and purchasing, academic and research spheres, and has acquired negotiating, computing, and analytical skills, as well as knowledge and practical knowledge in user experience and design (UXD).
