The 12th Annual Forum of The EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) took place on 24 and 25 October in Brdo pri Kranju, representing a key event of Slovenia’s one-year EUSDR Presidency. The Forum was attended by Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon, senior representatives of the EU, national governments, regional authorities, and various international experts.

In line with the slogan “Together into the future decade of the EUSDR”, the Forum provided a platform for discussion on EU enlargement, Ukraine’s reconstruction, EU funding, energy, transport challenges in the region, youth engagement in the strategy and the professions of the future. These topics represent the key priorities on which Slovenia has focused during its Presidency, as well as providing the basic orientations for the future work of the EUSDR.

FIŠ representatives were also present at the meeting, as we have been working on projects under the Interreg Danube programme. We also learned about the upcoming calls in this field.
