Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office

In 2017, the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto (FIS) established the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office (TTO), ensuring it can respond to industry demand for knowledge in the research areas covered by FIS.
The TTO FIS thus supports our students and researchers in developing new ideas that can lead to innovations offered to the industry and lead to collaboration between the two spheres.
 

The core services of the TTO FIS for researchers and students are the following:

  • technical and legal assistance related to inventions,
  • carrying out procedures for the acquisition and maintenance of intellectual property rights for service inventions,
  • advice on business plans for innovation,
  • management of intellectual property rights and transfer of inventions to the industry,
  • training in the commercialisation of knowledge and the protection of intellectual property,
  • networking with companies interested in knowledge and technology transfer,
  • networking with other research organisations and external consultants,
  • promoting scientific research at FIS and the transfer of knowledge into practice.
