Centre for the Development of Teaching Competences (CRPK)
The Centre for the Development of Teaching Competences of Higher Education Teachers and Staff (CRPK) was established on 14 April 2025 as a working body of the Senate of the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto (FIS).
CRPK operates as the central developmental and networking body of FIS in the field of teaching and learning enhancement. Its mission is to provide systematic support for student-centred and inclusive higher education.
CRPK represents:
- a developmental and collaborative community of practice for sharing knowledge, experience, and good teaching practices,
- a space for reflection on teaching and working with students,
- comprehensive support for teaching and the promotion of learning,
- an organiser of practice-oriented professional development and thematic forums on higher education didactics,
- a curator of a digital library of teaching resources and an initiator of the enhancement of the FIS physical library.
Through its activities, CRPK promotes teaching excellence, innovative approaches to teaching, and the development of teaching competences in line with contemporary scientific knowledge and the needs of students.

CDTC functions as an open and collaborative community and invites all higher education teachers and staff of FIS to actively contribute to the co-creation of high-quality higher education.
