The Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto is announcing a public call for nominations for the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto Awards for the year 2025. The purpose of the faculty awards is to encourage students, employees, and external collaborators to continuously improve the quality of their work, enhance the quality of scientific and pedagogical work, and strengthen FIS’s reputation.
FIS awards recognitions to its students, employees, and external collaborators (hereinafter: award recipients) for achievements in the previous calendar or academic year.
The Faculty gives recognitions to FIS students in the following categories:
- The most successful students in undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs for the previous academic year. These recognitions are awarded for achievements in academic studies and extracurricular activities.
- For the best final theses in undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs for the past academic year.
- For achievements in the field of research for the past academic year.
The faculty gives recognition to employees for the previous academic or calendar year:
- University faculty members or staff for achievements in the field of education.
- University faculty members or staff in the field of tutoring.
- Researchers for achievements in the field of research.
- University faculty members for achievements in faculty leadership.
- Professional staff for their contributions to improving the quality of the faculty organisation.
FIS may also award recognitions to external collaborators for the previous academic or calendar year; these are presented to individuals or legal entities from Slovenia and abroad for their contribution to improving quality and for exceptional achievements in the faculty’s educational or research fields.
Award recipients receive a written certificate titled “Award of the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto.”
The deadline for submitting applications is May 15, 2026. All applications received by the Faculty of Information Studies by May 15, 2026, or sent by certified mail by that date, will be considered timely. Please send the electronic version of the application to pravno.kadrovska@fis.unm.si.
Send applications to the following address: Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto, Ljubljanska cesta 31A, 8000 Novo mesto, with the note “Application for the FIS Award: DO NOT OPEN!”. The procedures for awarding the awards are managed by the FIS Awards Committee, which will review applications within four weeks of the application deadline. The opening of the applications will not be public; award recipients will be notified of the results.
