On 9 October 2026, the Senate of the University of Novo Mesto, Faculty of Information Studies, adopted Decision No. 45/24-28-9 on the commencement of the procedure for the early election of the Dean of the University of Novo Mesto, Faculty of Information Studies.

In accordance with the sixth paragraph of Article 12 of the FIS Statute and Article 7 of the Rules on the election of the Dean and the procedure of the FIS Election Committee, a candidate for the post of Dean may be nominated by at least five higher education teachers, researchers and higher education staff members who are employed at UNM FIS and are eligible to vote for the Dean.

The nomination must be submitted using the Nomination Form for the Dean of UNM FIŠ – Predlog kandidature za dekana UNM FIŠ

The first signatory of the nomination form, once completed and signed, must submit it to the Dean’s Office of UNM FIŠ in a sealed envelope marked ‘For the Election Committee – early election of the Dean of UNM FIŠ’, or send it to the email address info@fis.unm.si with the same note in the subject line of the email. Nominators’ signatures may be handwritten or electronic.

The deadline for submitting nominations is Monday, 26 October 2026, at 12.00.

A nomination is considered submitted on time if it is received via one of the specified methods by the deadline.
