At the 47th session of the UNM FIS Senate on October 27 2026, the Election Commission notified the Senate that Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alenka Pandiloska Jurak has been nominated as a candidate for Dean. The candidate gave her consent within the prescribed deadline and submitted her work program.

The Dean of UNM FIS is elected in a general and direct election. The electoral body consists of three groups of voters:

• Higher education teachers, researchers, academic staff and other staff involved in the teaching process who have an employment contract with the University of Novo Mesto or its constituent members for at least 25 % of a full-time equivalent and who predominantly carry out their work at UNM FIS;
• Students enrolled on study programmes at UNM FIS;
• Other staff who have an employment contract with the University of Novo Mesto or its constituent members for at least half-time and who carry out the majority of their work at UNM FIS.
