On Thursday, May 4, 2023, under the coordination of Assist. Prof. Dr. Urška Fric, we visited the Day Centre for Children at the Association for the Development of Voluntary Work Novo mesto (DRPD), which as a non-profit humanitarian organisation works in the public interest in the field of social welfare.
After a presentation of their work, which is based on the inclusion of socially excluded groups, the promotion of intercultural dialogue, the development of voluntary work and partnerships within civil society, we spent a very active afternoon with the children and volunteers. We were involved in providing learning support in Mathematics, Slovenian and English, followed by sports activities at Loka. We have gained a valuable new experience and would like to thank the DRPD for their cooperation over many years, which leads to such experiences.
