In accordance with Article 11 of the Regulations on the first elections for the Rector and members of the Senate of the University of Novo mesto, we have prepared provisional electoral registers for the election of the Rector of the University of Novo mesto, which will take place on 11 September 2026.

Data on the total number of voters by individual groups:
In accordance with the Regulations, we are publishing data on the total number of voters by individual groups:

• higher education teachers, researchers, research title assistants, higher education associates and other associates involved in the teaching process, employed by the University or one of its faculties for at least 25% of full-time equivalent employment: 46 voters;
• students: 657 voters;
• other employees, who have an employment contract with the University or one of its faculties for at least 25% of full-time equivalent employment: 16 voters.

Instructions for verifying registration in the electoral register:

All employees are included in the electoral registers for employees, including those who are absent for an extended period due to maternity or parental leave, long-term medical leave and similar circumstances, as well as employees who are substituting for such persons.

All those who have an active status as a student on the day of the election are entered in the student electoral register.

Voters cannot be entered more than once in the electoral register. If a voter meets the criteria for inclusion in more than one voter category, they may only vote in one category.

Voters may obtain information about their entry in the electoral register from the Secretary of the member institution, Maruša Umbreht Lakić (marusa.umbreht@fis.unm.si).

If a voter discovers a discrepancy, they may lodge an appeal within 48 hours with the Secretary of the member institution or directly with the Electoral Commission. The Electoral Commission will decide on the appeal within 48 hours, and no later than one day before the election.
