Winter Camp 2021 FIŠ/FUDŠ/FAM

The FIŠ/FUDŠ/FAM Winter Camp 2021 took place from 2 March 2021 to 4 March 2021 and was organised in cooperation with the Faculty of Applied Social Studies (FUDŠ) and the Faculty of Media (FAM).
This year, the Winter Camp was held online via the Zoom communication tool.
The first day started with welcoming speeches by Prof. Dr. Borut Rončević, Dean of FUDŠ and Prof. Dr. Matej Makarovič, Dean of FIŠ. This was followed by a lecture by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nuša Erman on important aspects of the quantitative research paradigm. We had the opportunity to listen to a discussion on European Union grand strategic visions and lectures on The importance of organisational climate for employee satisfaction and Work-Home Balance. In the afternoon, we discussed The importance of the Quadruple Helix Model for Open Innovation 2.0 in the EU, followed by the Doctoral Students Forum. Associate Prof. Dr. Staša Milojević gave a lecture on The elements of user experience. The first day ended with a PhD Students’ Forum.
The second day of the Winter Camp started with a presentation of the Jean Monnet Chair project and its activities and a round table on How to promote the environmental aspects of sustainable development: the role of the education system and lifelong learning, civil society, local communities and national decision-makers. The afternoon continued with a round table on European Civic Engagement and Sustainable Development Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module: Enhancing European Civic Practices and Sustainability (Sustain4EU).
On the last day, Prof. Dr Matevž Tomšič presented the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Chair project Populist ideas, messages and actions: Populism and the Future of European Democracy (POPEDEM), followed by a roundtable with different stakeholders discussing how to address the challenges posed by populism. The Winter Camp ended with a roundtable on Media Literacy and Active Citizenship in the Erasmus+ JeanMonnet Module: Media literacy and active citizenship (MELI Module).
