Adaptation of public research organizations (JRO) and the Central Technical Library of the University of Ljubljana to work according to the principles of open science

Brief description of the project:

The Central Technical Library of the University of Ljubljana, together with 20 consortium partners of the “SPOZNAJ – Support for the introduction of open science principles in Slovenia” project, is adapting its operation to the principles of open science in the European Research Area. This includes open access to research results, evaluation of the quality and impact of scientific research work using responsible metrics, and the involvement of citizens in scientific research work.The purpose of the project is to educate, raise awareness and empower the associates of the consortium partners with relevant knowledge and competences in the field of open science. Educational materials are being prepared, a support structure is being established, and the mechanisms of operation of the consortium partners are being adapted in accordance with the principles of open science.By the end of the project, the consortium will hold at least 30 public lectures on current topics in the field of open science and 4 national events with international participation. The importance of open science will be spread as much as possible within the consortium, as well as among the professional and general public.
