Project description:
The transition of companies and industrial ecosystems towards a circular economy requires exploring existing and developing some new frameworks and guidelines on tools for implementing a circular economy, including industrial symbiosis.
The project is based on identifying the links between different organisations, particularly companies, and exploiting waste and secondary resources to (re)use them and make them last as long as possible in the circular economy process.
The main objective of the project is, therefore, to stimulate industrial cooperation between companies and other actors, to contribute to a more efficient and sustainable use of resources, and to develop business models to achieve a circular economy. The latter is significant in light of the challenges facing business, academia, research and civil society in limiting climate change and sustainable (re)use.
