As part of the Erasmus+ program, student Luka Panjan participated in an internship in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. He set out on the internship expecting, above all, to gain new work experience, but he is returning home enriched with memories and experiences that will last a lifetime.

Cluj-Napoca completely captivated him. The city enchants with its cultural diversity, numerous opportunities, and vibrant international atmosphere, while just a stone’s throw away, it also offers unspoiled nature that quickly captivates visitors.

“I completed my internship in an exceptional international environment that became a space for constant cultural exchange, discovering new perspectives, learning adaptability, and broadening my horizons. The entire experience has shaped me both professionally and personally. It has provided me with new knowledge, different perspectives, and numerous experiences that I will be able to carry forward into my future academic and professional life,” says Luka Panjan.

A special part of his Erasmus+ experience was also spending time with the international community at the School of Drums and Hearts. Drumming became his weekly ritual, which took him all the way to the stages of various festivals. Among other things, he had the incredible opportunity to drum at the world-famous Untold Festival.

“Through music and rhythm, I met so many exceptional and kind-hearted people from all corners of the world. This gave me the chance to learn about many different cultures—not just Romanian—and to experience my time in Cluj-Napoca in a completely different way.”

Erasmus+ thus provided him not only with new work experience, but also with valuable international connections, new friendships, exposure to other cultures, and personal growth—and, above all, memories that he will carry with him long after he returns home.
