On Saturday, 10 May 2025, the Student Council of our faculty organised a hackathon, followed by a picnic. The aim of the event was to bring together students of different majors and levels of study, to promote knowledge transfer, networking and to find common interests for future cooperation.
Hackathon participants tackled programming challenges and strengthened their knowledge of algorithms. After the competition, the gathering continued with a picnic in Češča vas, where they were joined by other students from the faculty.
Prizes were awarded at the picnic to the best performing individuals of the hackathon:
- 1st place: Beno Zupanc
- 2nd place: Ema Leila Grošelj
- 3rd place: Janez Brenčič
The main donor of the event was SRC d.o.o., which provided cash prizes for the top competitors. The event was also supported with practical prizes and promotional materials by:
- FIŠ Novo mesto,
- Renault,
- Palsit (with a donation of three free tickets for the HackStop conference),
- Mjob,
- Elektro Ljubljana,
