University of Novo mesto, Faculty of Information Studies (UNM FIS), invites participants to a free hands-on training session entitled “RAG – Integrating Knowledge and Artificial Intelligence”, taking place on 20 November 2026 as part of the SLAIF initiative.
The training will focus on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), a technology that connects large language models (LLMs) with external knowledge sources, enabling the development of more reliable, transparent, and traceable artificial intelligence solutions.
Through practical exercises, participants will explore the key components of RAG architecture, including document processing, vector embeddings, vector databases, and the LangChain framework. Particular emphasis will be placed on building and deploying a functional RAG system using the HPC Trdina supercomputing infrastructure.
The programme will also address methods for improving the quality, security, and verifiability of AI-generated responses.
The training will be delivered by:
Biljana Mileva Boshkoska (UNM FIS)
