We invite you to take part in the Spring Student Blood Donation Campaign “Častim pol litra” (“I Donate Half a Litre”), which will take place on Monday, 7 April, and Tuesday, 8 April 2025, from 7:00 to 11:00 at the General Hospital Novo Mesto, Department of Transfusion Medicine.

To schedule your donation, please call the Novo Mesto Transfusion Centre at 070 538 227 a few days in advance to arrange an appointment and ensure that the donation chair does not remain empty. A photo ID is required for admission.

Before donating blood, you will have a medical examination. Please do not fast, but avoid eating fatty foods, including milk or milky coffee. You may have tea, black coffee, bread, jam, fruit, or similar light foods, and it is especially important to drink plenty of non-alcoholic fluids. After the blood draw, you will be offered a light snack.

All healthy individuals aged 18 and over who have not donated blood recently (women: at least 4 months ago, men: at least 3 months ago) are welcome to participate.
