This year, the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto is taking part in the charity initiative “Miklavževi angelčki / St. Nicholas’ Angels” (Young Caritas), which collects gifts for children from socially disadvantaged families and help brighten their December holidays.
As part of the Eco-School programme, we will be collecting gifts for:
girls and boys aged 9–11,
girls and boys aged 12–14.
You can bring your gifts at any time up until 27 November 2025 and place them in the collection box at the Student Office.
What to prepare?
We are collecting gifts that bring joy to children, encourage creativity, and are environmentally friendly.
Children would be delighted with:
notebooks and school supplies,
creative or crafting sets,
warm scarves, hats and gloves,
small age-appropriate toys (wooden puzzles, magnetic colouring sets, cardboard jigsaws),
sweets – individually packed, non-perishable and safe (no alcohol, allergens or very expensive items).
The gifts we prepare will be:
useful – something the child can genuinely use,
creative – encouraging imagination and hands-on making,
environmentally friendly – made from sustainable or recycled materials.
Become one of St. Nicholas’ Angels!
Every contribution counts. By preparing gifts together at FIS, we can bring smiles to children’s faces and show that our community knows how to come together for a good cause.
You are warmly invited to join – let FIS shine in the spirit of solidarity this year!
