On December 11, 2024, third-year students from the undergraduate programme Informatics in Contemporary Society and professors visited Rudolfovo – Science and Technology Centre Novo Mesto – as part of the eEntrepreneurship course.

The visit began with a training session Robots Among Us, organized by the Development Centre Novo mesto. We were introduced to the basics of robotics, and those attending in person had the opportunity to try hands-on control of a robotic arm, culminating in programming two simple routines on a robot controller.

Following the training, we toured some departments at Rudolfovo on the second floor. Marko Rudolf gave us an interesting lecture on business information systems, demonstrating how the ERP system and mDocs document management system used at Rudolfovo operate. We also compared their travel order forms with the ones we had created during class exercises in Excel.

Finally, we visited LABTOP, where we explored various robotic arms at Rudolfovo, capable of lifting objects of different weights.
