The academic year 2025/26 is just around the corner, and once again we invite all newly enrolled students of the 1st and 2nd cycles to the FIS Introductory Day. The Introductory Day is designed to help you get to know the Faculty, its structure, your study programmes and courses, and much more.

On your very first study day, we have prepared the FIS Introductory Day for you, which will take place on Wednesday, 1 October 2025, in hybrid form – both in person at the Faculty and online via Zoom.

During the Introductory Day, we will briefly introduce the Faculty and its organisation, the Student Affairs Office, the Library, Erasmus+, and many other useful resources for your studies. You will also learn about the hybrid delivery of the study process, including attendance at lectures and tutorials both in person and via Zoom.

The Introductory Day will be held in two sessions:

  • Morning session (starting at 10:00) for full-time students of the Professional Study Programme Computer Science and Web Technologies and full-time and part-time students of the Professional Study Programme Informatics in Contemporary Society.

  • Afternoon session (starting at 17:00) for students of the 2nd cycle and part-time students of the Professional Study Programme Computer Science and Web Technologies.

For international students, the Introductory Day will also be held in English on Thursday, 2 October 2025, at 13:00.

If you are joining us online, please ensure that the Zoom application is installed on your computer or mobile device before the event. Participation via a browser will not allow you to be placed into groups. If you already have the Zoom app installed, please make sure to update it to the latest version.
