1. Background

The Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission promotes the mobility of students and lecturers. The action KA107 of this programme provides funding for exchange mobility with partner countries.

The Faculty of information studies in Novo mesto (FIŠ) has been awarded with founds under the action KA107 for STUDENT MOBILITY FOR STUDIES from the partner institution Gaza University, Palestine.

2. The call

The present Call is based on the funding awarded to FIŠ for mobility projects with EU-partner countries under Key Action 107 of the Erasmus+ Programme under the contract year 2019. Mobilities will be implemented during the academic years 2020/2021 and 2021/2022, but no later than June 30th, 2022.

School of Advanced Social Studies was granted with 2 incoming student mobilities from Gaza University, Palestine to FIŠ under Erasmus+ programme: 2 STUDENT MOBILITIES for studies.

3. Mobility period, duration, and obligations

All mobilities must be completed by 31 May 2022.

Mobility duration: Incoming student is invited for max 3 months (90 days+ 2 extra days for travel, together 92 days).

4. Erasmus+ mobility grant

1 – Scholarship is 800 EUR per month.

2 – Travel costs: contribution to travel costs is 360 EUR. Travel costs will be reimbursed according to original invoices provided by the students at his/her arrival.  

5 Deadline, submission, and selection procedure for student mobilities

Applicants should submit the application form (available here) to the External Relations office (Dr. Kholoud Elbatsh, k.elbatsh@gu.edu.ps) at Gaza University. The External Relations office is appointed to carry on the selection process in a transparent way and send the nominations with the data of the selected participants for student mobilities.

The sending institution (Gaza University) is responsible for nominating 2 students for mobility by sending the application form for the selected students.

Deadline for nomination is 31 December 2020 for spring semester 2020/2021 (The call is open until there are available places).

6 Mobility documentation

Before the start of the mobility (student exchange), two documents need to be signed:

  • Learning Agreement – to be completed and signed before the mobility starts (attached to this call)
  • Grant Agreement – to be completed before the mobility starts (attached to this call) by Erasmus office at FIŠ.
