Project Leader: Assist. Prof. Dr. Klavdija Zorec
Type of Project: Educational project
Short Project Description:
The aim of the project is to establish a comprehensive, inclusive, and sustainably oriented collaboration between the faculty, students, and partners from the local economic, non-economic, and non-profit sectors, with the goal of improving the quality of higher education and strengthening competencies required in the modern labour market.
The project is based on problem-based learning in real-life environments, where students—supported by academic and workplace mentors—develop digital, research, communication, entrepreneurial, and green competencies while co‑creating solutions for real challenges in local communities.
Activities include field research, interdisciplinary project work, knowledge transfer between higher education and the economic/non-economic sectors, and the development of sustainable, digitally supported approaches to enhance social inclusion, quality of life, and digital transformation of organizations—especially in border rural areas.
The project contributes to greater youth employability, the development of sustainable learning environments, and long-term cooperation between the faculty and the local/regional community.
