Uspešno zaključen projekt Naprednejša računalniška znanja

On December 31, 2025, after three and a half years, The Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) project Advanced computer skills was successfully completed at the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo Mesto. The project represented an important step towards the development of advanced digital competences and the strengthening of skills that are key to a modern digital society and a competitive labour market.

Project leaders assoc. prof. dr. Katarina Rojko and assoc. prof. dr.  Nuša Erman emphasized that the project has not only delivered measurable results in the form of new knowledge and skills, but also long-term effects for the institution and the wider environment. The experience gained and the lifelong learning model developed will provide a firm foundation for further projects and the improvement of educational content in the field of advanced computer skills.

During its implementation, the project addressed current challenges in the field of information and communication technologies and offered the participants up-to-date knowledge in the fields of study programs Computer Science and Web Technologies (six-month training in “Programming and application development”) and Informatics in Contemporary Society (six-month training course in Digitalization, Internet of Things and industrial automation). Emphasis was given to linking theory to practice and developing skills that enable the immediate application of knowledge in the work environment.

During the project, 317 participants in six-month training courses and 31 faculty staff members were involved in project activities, which led to all of the project’s goals being achieved or exceeded. Pilot programs, teaching materials, and flexible didactic approaches were developed, which will continue to contribute significantly to the further development of educational programs at the faculty even after the project has ended.

The successful completion of the project confirms the importance of the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo Mesto in developing high-quality, modern, and socially relevant education, as well as its contribution to digital transformation in the wider environment.

The project was implemented in accordance with the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) within the development area of Smart, Sustainable, and Inclusive Growth, component Strengthening Competences, Especially Digital and Those Required by New Occupations and the Green Transition (C3 K5), for measure Investment F. It was co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, and the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
