We would like to invite you to an online information day at our Faculty of information studies in Novo mesto (FIŠ), which will take place on Thursday, 11 April 2024 at 17:00. This time we will pay special attention to the presentation of our 2nd and 3rd cycle study programmes for which the 1st application period opens on 1 April 2024.
At second cycle of study, we offer a range of five study programmes. Informatics in Contemporary Society is a Master’s degree programme for those who want to combine social science knowledge with the potential of IT skills. The Master’s degree programme in Computer Science and Web Technologies gives you the opportunity to delve deeper into the world of programming and application development. For computing and statistics enthusiasts, the Master’s programme in Data Science is the right choice. Cyber Security is our second cycle programme, which offers comprehensive knowledge in the areas of protecting ICT in organisations, methods and techniques of defence and protection against cyber threats. Business Informatics is a Master’s degree programme that will improve your knowledge of the use of ICT in the business of organisations and the methods and techniques of digital transformation of organisations.
You can also study at a third level, the Information Society PhD programme. This PhD programme will equip you to carry out scientific research and create new knowledge in fields related to the information society.
The first application period for the second and third cycle of study will open on 1 April 2024 and will run until 30 April 2024. Applications for admission is submitted via an online application on the eVŠ web portal.
An important advantage of studying at FIŠ is the possibility to participate in lectures and tutorials online. Students can thus choose individually whether to attend their studies in person, on the premises of the Faculty, or online from anywhere in Slovenia or abroad. Furthermore, FIŠ’s internationally renowned but always accessible professors and researchers, friendly teaching assistants and close cooperation with local businesses are also worth mentioning. All of this combines to create an excellent study experience tailored to the individual, preparing him or her for the most desirable professions of the present and future.
