The BIN@NOVO MESTO 2025 event, held on 10 and 11 November at Otočec, successfully brought together experts, companies, researchers and students in a dynamic environment where new ideas, open discussions and inspiring visions of the future of work came together.

Organised by the Faculty of Information Studies (FIS) and the University of Porto – Faculty of Engineering (FEUP), the event offered a rich and varied programme. Over two days, participants created a lively platform for exchanging views on sustainability, resilience, and the impact of artificial intelligence on the labour market. The discussions were in-depth and, at times, provocative, ranging from questions around the ethics of advanced technologies to the challenges of future skills and the transformation of education.

In addition to the many innovative ideas presented in the open sessions, participants also highlighted the valuable opportunities for networking and forming new partnerships.

The event once again demonstrated that the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto remains an important hub for ideas that push the boundaries between business, education, and research.
