  • " One of the distinctions of a pedagogic process in the Faculty of information studies is following the principles of individual approach, which is directly visible in a more genuine relationship between students and professors or colleagues as well as in a more transparent perception of the students’ needs and wishes. This approach is of a momentous importance when gaining new knowledge and skills, since it enables students to have a more direct communication with assistants as well as with professors and contributes to a more successful study and satisfaction of students ."

    Urša Šinkovec,
assistant at the Faculty of information studies

  • " I was informed about FIS by the present schoolmate who I met entirely by chance. I was aware of the advantages that studying in a hometown offers, therefore I entered this faculty. I admit that my expectations were not high, since it was the faculty at the beginning of existence. All I wanted was to finish my studies and obtain a suitable degree of education. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the professors, since I had not expected that such young teaching staff would be so successful at carrying out the educational process. FIS enabled us to take active part in projects with future employers ."

    Darko Jerkovič,
president of the students’ council of FIS

  • "The companies, which create on global markets in a demanding competitive environment, appreciate and need capable, active, broad-minded colleagues equipped with modern knowledge and skills. Therefore, we salute the efforts of institutions and individuals who build the environment of a learning region with reliable, even a little bit visionary steps. This broader area wants to become the centre for creating, using and offering modern knowledge and skills of information science..."More ›
