Dr. Igor Trajanovski je diplomiral iz sociologije in magistriral iz mednarodne politike na Univerzi Sv. Cirila in Metoda v Skopju (Severna Makedonija). Doktoriral je iz sociologije na Fakulteti za uporabne družbene študije v Novi Gorici. Tema njegove doktorske disertacije je bila “Vloga osebnosti v času intenzivnih družbenih sprememb: primer prvega predsednika Republike Makedonije Kira Gligorova”.
Ima izkušnje v politiki, javni upravi in gospodarstvu. Na neposrednih volitvah je bil dvakrat izvoljen za člana občinskega sveta občine Butel (ena od občin v mestu Skopje, Republika Severna Makedonija).
Ima dolgoletne vodstvene izkušnje v zavarovalniški industriji.
Kot namestnik direktorja Agencije za tuje investicije in promocijo izvoza Republike Makedonije je sodeloval z uglednimi domačimi in tujimi podjetji ter tesno sodeloval z ministri gospodarskega resorja v vladi Republike Makedonije.
Fakulteti za informacijske študije se je pridružil leta 2023 kot asistent na področju politologije. Trenutno sodeluje pri naslednjih projektih:

- IPR4SC (Developing skills in Intellectual Property Rights open data for sustainability and circularity)
- EDIH – European Digital Innovation Hub
- AI4VET4AI – Umetna inteligenca za poklicno izobraževanje in usposabljanje

Dr. Igor Trajanovski graduated in Sociology and obtained a Master’s degree in International Politics from the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje (North Macedonia). He earned his PhD in Sociology at the School of Advanced Social Studies in Nova Gorica. The topic of his doctoral dissertation was “The Role of Personality in Times of Intense Social Change: The Case of the First President of the Republic of Macedonia, Kiro Gligorov.”
He has experience in politics, public administration, and the business sector. He was elected to two four-year terms as a member of the council of Butel Municipality (one of the municipalities in the city of Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia) through direct elections. He has many years of managerial experience in the insurance industry.
As Deputy Director of the Agency for Foreign Investments and Export Promotion of the Republic of North Macedonia, he collaborated with prominent domestic and foreign companies. He worked closely with ministers responsible for economic affairs in the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia.
He joined the Faculty of Information Studies in 2023 as a teaching assistant in the field of Political Science.
