– Innovations and technology in regional development, sociological theory, Cultural Political Economy, East European societies.

– Particular research topics include regional innovation systems, social capital, multi-level strategic processes, and socio-cultural factors of development of East European societies.

– Research employed a variety of research methods, most notably 1. fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (conducting in FSQCA and R), 2. interviews and focus groups (analysed with CAQDAS), 3. statistical analysis (conducted in SPSS and R), as well as 4. media content analysis.

Teorije informacijske družbe

Predmet na temeljni ravni obravnava informacijsko družbo in jo postavi v kontekst splošnega družbenega življenja ter kulturne, ekonomske in politične sfere. Študentje spoznajo sestavne elemente in načela delovanja informacijske družbe, z omrežji, sistemi in tehnologijo. Primerjajo značilnosti sodobne informacijske družbe s prejšnjimi družbenimi strukturami, predvsem glede na klasično modernost in industrijsko družbo. Pri predmetu opravljajo tako eksperimentalne kot seminarske vaje, kjer s študijami primerov in seminarsko nalogo oziroma z več krajšimi nalogami poglobijo znanje. Povezava na učni načrt.

1. letnik

Družboslovna raziskovalna metodologija

Družboslovna raziskovalna metodologija predstavi teorijo in prakso raziskovalnega procesa ter kvalitativne, kvantitativne in primerjalne metode raziskovanja. Študentje skozi pripravo lastne družboslovne analize spoznajo postopke izbora teme raziskovanja, postavitve relevantnih vprašanj in hipotez, zbiranja podatkov za raziskavo, vzorčenja, merjenja, analize podatkov in izdelave poročila. Skozi lastne izkušnje spoznajo pasti načrtovanja in izvedbe družboslovne raziskave, oblikujejo stališča do ključnih etičnih vprašanj v raziskovalnem procesu ter kritično vrednotijo konkretni raziskovalni primer. 2. letnik

Teorije informacijske družbe

Predmet na temeljni ravni obravnava informacijsko družbo in jo postavi v kontekst splošnega družbenega življenja ter kulturne, ekonomske in politične sfere. Študentje spoznajo sestavne elemente in načela delovanja informacijske družbe, z omrežji, sistemi in tehnologijo. Primerjajo značilnosti sodobne informacijske družbe s prejšnjimi družbenimi strukturami, predvsem glede na klasično modernost in industrijsko družbo. Predmet izpostavi tudi vprašanje moči in nadzora nad informacijskimi sistemi ter njihov vpliv na delovanje družbe. Pri predmetu opravljajo tako eksperimentalne kot seminarske vaje, kjer s študijami primerov in seminarsko nalogo oziroma več krajših nalog poglobijo znanje. Povezava na učni načrt.

Izbirni predmeti

Fundraising

Finančna sredstva so osnova za zagon posla in predmet govori prav o tem – kako pridobiti sredstva za razvoj projektov. Možnosti je več, saj obstaja kar nekaj skladov in programov, ki razpisujejo sredstva za RR projekte (Okvirni program, Eureka, Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, Evropski strukturni skladi, nacionalni razpisi: MVŠZT, ARRS, MG in TIA). Pri tem lahko sodelujemo tudi z drugimi partnerji kot so posamezniki, podjetja, fundacije, neprofitne organizacije, država. Predmet predstavi sam proces priprave projekta in projektne dokumentacije ter osnove administrativno-finančnega vodenja projekta. Na koncu študentje znajo pripraviti projekt za prijavo na programe/sklade EU, kar pokažejo skozi pripravo in predstavitev lastnega projekta. Povezava na učni načrt.

1. letnik

Izbrana poglavja znanstvene metodologije

Cilj predmeta je dati študentom metodološke osnove za izdelavo doktorske naloge. V sklopu predmeta bodo študentje spoznali nabor kvantitativnih in kvalitativnih raziskovalnih metod, s katerimi bodo suvereno začeli z doktorsko raziskavo. Predmet bosta izvajala dva nosilca, eden bo skrbel za kvantitativen, drugi za kvalitativen del. Preko projektnih nalog bodo študentje povezali oba sklopa predmeta. Predmet prispeva k razvoju sposobnosti identificiranja danega raziskovalnega problema, njegove analize in možnih rešitev, ustvarjanja novega znanja in prispevek k razvoju znanosti, sposobnost obvladanja standardnih metod, postopkov in procesov raziskovalnega dela, vodenje raziskovalno-razvojnega dela in raziskovalne skupine, obvladanje kakovosti prek standardov in samokritičnega vrednotenja v raziskavah ter zavezanost profesionalni etiki. Izbirni predmeti

Nove paradigme informacijske družbe

Predmet se ukvarja z različnimi družbenimi fenomeni uporabe različnimi komunikacijskih in informacijskih tehnologij. Izpostavljene bodo predvsem informacijske tehnologije kot element sprememb sodobne družbe – od tehnologije v podporo različnim procesom do faktorja spremembe v družbi, pa informacijske tehnologije kot orodje v okviru različnih civilnodružbenih aktivnosti (predvsem v smislu premoščanja klasičnih družbenih vzorcev delovanja in organiziranja). Slušatelji se bodo seznanili tudi z informacijsko komunikacijskimi tehnologijami v komunikacijskih procesih in vplivi na spremembe v družbenem komuniciranju – globalizacija družbe in IKT in spoznali IKT kot dejavnik družbenega razvoja in stagnacije (digitalni razkorak). Govora bo tudi o etičnih dilemah uporabe informacijsko komunikacijskih tehnologij v družbi (razmerja med svobodo in varnostjo ob uporabi IKT, nadzorovana družba, odvisnost od informacijskih tehnologij). Povezava na učni načrt.

Sodobne teorije v ekonomski sociologiji

Predmet Sodobne teorije v ekonomski sociologiji obravnava razvoj ekonomske sociologije kot posebne subdiscipline in njen pomen v informacijski družbi. Študenti se seznanijo s klasičnimi in sodobnimi teorijami ter ključnimi avtorji v ekonomski sociologiji, najpomembnejšimi raziskovalnimi pristopi pri analizi ekonomskih organizacij, procesov in akterjev v informacijski družbi. Predstavljene so povezave s socioekonomijo ter politično in institucionalno ekonomijo, ekonomsko delovanje, socialna struktura in koncept vraščenosti v družbi omrežij ter neekonomski dejavniki ekonomskega razvoja v informacijskih družbah.
